Wisdom teeth suck. period.

Yeah, I'm out of surgery. Actually long out of surgery, but i've been in a wee bit of pain, so i haven't really had a chance to blog till now. Ok, wee is an understatement... a lot of pain. I've been using frozen peas to try to bring down the swelling and numb myself, and it's working to an extent... but im still not perfect. Plus, I've got my trusty perkeset with me. ^_^ Ugh, I just want this whole experience to be over. Actually it hasn't been too terrible... The best thing was the thing I was most worried about - the anestesia.

So, I go in, and im rly nervous, cause im freaking out about loosing control like that (going to sleep)... and I sit down. They then tell me they're going to give me some laughing gas, and put a nose mask on. It's a little minty, but weard. So, nothing happens, nothing happens... by this time, they've put a clipy on my finger and i can hear my heartbeat (very fast) and they put a cuff on my arm. The, the beats start to echo in my head, and i start getting double vision. I tried to focus on the light above me... but I couldn't. Then the doctor walks in, and asks how im doing. I could still speak, so I said fine. All I could think (and this is going to sound cheesy, but it's what I was thinking... "What a wonderful psychedelic world we live in!" hahaha, I have no clue why, but it was a wild though. Then he's like, ok, we're going to put this thing in your arm now, and it will make you a little sleepy... but I didn't even care. She numbed my arm I think, but I couldn't have cared less if she didn't. Haha, then, I was being lead to he recovery room, where I started violently shaking, and they had to put blankets on me. Then, went home, and got some icecream and applesauce... and perkeset of course ^_^.

But yeah, the pain is pretty bad, but I think I'm over the worst part. So, I'll end this, just wanted to give you my experience! :) cya all!

I was very lucky in that my wisdom teeth never came it. Maybe that explains a couple of things!! Feel better soon.

Hey man, didn't know your surgery was for your Wisdom teeth, I need to do that soon myself. Good luck with your recovery and take it easy on those Percocets, haha.

Although I've had your blog bookmarked for quite some time, yesterday is the first time I came on and read it (including your archives).

I really am impressed with you and just had to give you a shout-out on my blog. I especially linked to your July 10th, "100% Out" posted vlog.

I hope alot of people see that and realize the courage it took for you to finally profess your homosexuality to your folks! Good for you! I'm only "Half-Out, Half-In" and I am *40* years older than you. God! What an inspiration.

I hope you're feeling better now that your wisdom teeth have been extracted. [Ouch! Been there.]

Hope you don't mind if I visit occasionally. I'm hoping your life really takes an upward swing with your studies at Denver. Good luck with that!

hey,
i hope you get well soon!!
it is really strange, half a year ago i had to undergo the same surgery of getting rit of my wisdomteeth, but the next day i was allready going to school and eating solid food... and the swelling wasn't visible...
and 2 days later i extracted the stitchings myself, because they bothered me...
and they gave you laughing gas????
i don't think they still give that here in belgium...

Take it easy and enjoy the meds

Hope you are feeling better.

Keep the cold items on your sockets. Glad your surgery went well.

I had my wisdom teeth cut out and my surgery didn't go as well as yours did. I woke up half way through the surgery with the skinny female dentist on top of me(knee on my chest) trying to pull the tooth out. And she finished the other tooth with me fully awake -- dentists suck!

Enjoy the Percoset.
